BIM

Abbreviation for “Building Information Modeling”: Describes a method of optimized planning, execution and management of buildings using software. All relevant building data are digitally recorded, combined and networked. CAFM software has been familiar with such an approach for a long time, but is currently being increasingly used in combination with IFC in process optimization considerations for real estate.
